Outdoor Leadership:
We are fortunate to have OWLS (Outdoor Wisconsin Leadership School) join the Holiday Home Camp family in 2009. As pioneers in thefield of Outdoor Adventure Education OWLS staff offers expert programming that teaches team building and leadership skills through outdoor group challenges. OWLS spend half a day with groups of campers each session the first full day of camp to help campers become acclimated to their camp experience and camp family. Additional groupchallenges are presented on a daily basis by counselors who are trained by the OWLS staff to help campers grow in self esteem, team work and self reliance.
Special Programming:
Each session offers a variety of Life skills special programs with local volunteer groups. In addition to a Health workshop with our Health Care Coordinator each cabin has experience with one or more of the following:
- Nutrition
- Cooking
- Farming
- Story Telling with a Moral
- Zumba
- PAWS: Lola the Rescue dog
- In the Kitchen with Chef
- Tobacco Talk
……And much more!
